1.Have your hair conditioned when you go to the salon

When having your hair colored it is recommended to also have it conditioned at the same time. Having a professional condition your hair can help protect it against the damage brought about by coloring, and sustain sleek and silky hair.

2. Avoid shampooing on the day of a coloring

After coloring, the presence of alkaline compounds leaves the hair in a swollen state. Washing the hair when it is in this state causes dyes that would have soaked deeply into the hair’s fibers to be completely washed out. For that reason, it is best to avoid shampooing on the day of coloring.

3. Protect the hair with a non-rinsable conditioner

After coloring, the hair’s pores are opened, which enables an easy outflowing of nutrients from the interior of the hair. By using the non-rinsable conditioner, “Dite Hair Oil,” maintaining supple hair even after the damage wreaked by coloring is within your grasp.

4. Ideally use a shampoo and conditioner made for colored hair

Hair that has just been colored is sensitive to even slight irritation. Using shampoo on hair in this state not only takes an increased toll on the hair, but also strips color due to the amplified effect of cleansing agents. Additionally, conditioner is not particularly effective when applied to hair after coloring. For these reasons, we highly recommend the use of shampoo and conditioner that are designed for post-coloring use, such as “Gemme color Shampoo & Mask.”
